how to make a clover sign using sticky tiles

I’m not a big St. Patrick’s Day girl and to be honest, I don’t decorate it… but I still enjoy a good shamrock craft and having fun making things to share with all of you this holiday! Today I want to share with you how to make a shamrock sign using Dollar Tree Sticky Chips!

If you’ve never used Dollar Tree sticky tabs, I’ll tell you now…they are a game changer. They’ve been around for a long time, but my local DT never had them, so I never really used them. I found some the other day and I’m hooked!

This project was relatively easy and I will do my best to guide you through all the steps to create it for your own home. You can even make some simple adjustments to personalize it!

First, I found a shamrock online whose shape I liked and printed it on my printer.

Next, I traced the clover, except mine was too small, so I made the shape a little bigger and traced it.

Then I cut my clover, which I only need regular scissors for because it’s so easy to cut!

After cutting it out, I painted the shamrock with a couple coats of paint and it covered perfectly. I used swamp green from the Apple Barrel collection at Walmart and it was a fantastic color.

At this point, I really wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with the shamrock, but I decided to give it an extra dimension and use some fun scrapbooking paper. Leopard is always a good idea!

I simply placed my painted shamrock on my scrapbook paper and traced it, leaving a little bit of excess around the edge so you could see the leopard design.

I glued the shamrock to the leopard shamrock.

I had a piece of wood that I used mod podge to cover with a piece of black and white scrapbook paper. I didn’t take a good photo of that piece, but you can see it in the original photo of my supplies!

You should definitely do your best to get all the bubbles out, but it’s okay if it’s not perfect. You’ll cover it with your design anyway!

Sand the edges to give it a more finished look!

Isn’t this the cutest thing?!

And here it is in my cafeteria! Is not it adorable?!
