First, I cut out the back of my birthday card, using my favorite scissorsof course!

Next, I cut out the “I wish you a very happy birthday” phrase from my card so I could use it in my everyday decor. Feel free to leave this part out if you want to use it as decoration for a birthday party, holiday, etc.! I also decided to cut out the white sides of the card so it would be symmetrical.

This is where she is looking…now to choose some scrapbook paper for my frame!

I chose a green striped paper from my Whimsy Workshop Scrapbook Paper!
I keep the mat inside the picture frame, so the scrapbook paper just needs to be cut small enough to fit in the frame…it doesn’t have to be perfect!

As I said above, I will keep the 4×7 white frame inside my picture frame. If you don’t have a frame, you can purchase a set on Amazon. HERE!
I placed the birthday card and scrapbook paper directly behind it first. I didn’t use any kind of adhesive, everything stayed in place perfectly after I adjusted the back of the frame well. However, you may want to add glue dots or tape to your card or scrapbook paper.

What a FUN and colorful piece of decor! It may go down in history as one of my EASIEST crafts on the blog!

Who would have thought this was a birthday card? And it matches this bright pink frame perfectly!

For only 4 materials and $4, it doesn’t get any better! I love it SO MUCH!
