Today, Matt and I would like to share a small patio project with you. I wanted to improve our game in the courtyard of the folding chairs that we have had for more than twelve years more permanent and comfortable.
I saw some inspiring photos of patio chairs on Pinterest and reduced what I was looking for to include:
- Natural fabrics materials for a relaxed sensation
- A high back to give substance
- The potential for the mixture of patterns for fun!
- An economic project
I went to the market, and this set of four tissue patio chairs on high back appeared for $ 150 at a reasonable driving distance. If you have sought for something related to the patio in the market, you will know how highly prices are usually (at least in our area)! The chairs were in excellent general conditions. The part of wicker/fabric was a bit faded, the seats were dirty and stained, and one of the bases was damaged. Matt said he could repair the base of the chair, and suggested that we wash the energy and seal the woven parts of the chairs to obtain longevity. I would not have thought about this, a good idea!
Matt picked up the chairs for me, and even as they were, they were an improvement on the folding chairs that we had for more than twelve years. I love the presence they add to the patio! I am also excited about the opportunity to mix with patterns with the recovery of the seats and add cushions.
Matt began to disassemble the chairs. Then he repaired the damaged base, the chairs washed the chairs, seal them again and repaired all the bases. It’s a blessing!
While Matt worked in the body of the chairs, I went to Joann’s for the upholstery fabric. I heard that Joann’s was doing the business, so I hoped to find a good offer in the fabric. As I knew that the patio chairs would be under a covered patio, I was not too worried about using outdoor cloth, which gave me more options. I found a beautiful fabric that seemed that it would go well with the style of our patio and give a feeling of the English country house.
When I got the fabric home, it surprised me and I was pleased to see that striped cloth coordinated with our dining room wallpaper perfectly.
Here is the «later» of the patio image change. I have two more back cushions, but that will come on time. We have already enjoyed the comfort and style that these chairs have brought to our patio. We are excited about the grill and have Fellowship on the patio company!
