You may have heard of butterflies tea. It has a series of health benefits worthy of another publication, but honestly what caught my attention was that the color, a single outbreak can turn a liquid. The blue of the purpose is magical and finds out, Butterfly Pea is beneficial when used topically. I have many ideas about how to use it in the future, waiting for us to have a purple/blue balm or at least one oil or facial oil, but for today we make a simple butterfly pea toner.
Is toner necessary?
Well, wouldn’t you know that I wrote a complete publication about that same question! Tonic are a necessary addition to their skin care routine if you are using a facial oil. The tonic generally contain Hamamelis de Brujas, which is a fantastic skin beautification tool. It is known that the Hamamelist Restore the firmness and repair of the skin damaged by UV rays.
Wet skin is more permeable, its serums and oils will soak in their skin faster and, hopefully, deeper when they apply to wet skin. Toners’ main work is to restore the pH balance from your skin. They can also collect any shit that your cleaner has not trapped. Depending on the ingredients of the toner, tóners can also help exfoliate, calm, get rid of and even clear the skin. My advice is to be careful that their serum and your toner are not redundant, which means that they have too many of the same ingredients or are destined to serve the same function.

How to infuse Hazel Witch with butterfly pea:
Honestly, there has never been an infusion as easy as this. Simply pour 1/2 cup of Hamamelis in a glass bottle, drop 1 butterfly pea flower in the Hamamelis and let it stand for 24 hours. That’s all.
To make the toner, add glycerin and essential oils to a glass spray bottle and then place with your infused hymamelis. So easy! In fact, if you don’t want to use glycerin or essential oils, no! This infusion is a great toner on its own.

Recipe notes:
- I recommend storing your toner in a dark glass bottle or in a cabinet. The toner can be sensitive to light and become less beneficial.
- The useful life of this DIY toner is around 4-6 months. It does not need to store it in the refrigerator, but this would be a great product for those beauty refrigerators. Cold skin care can be excellent in the warmer months to reduce swelling and overcome heat!

How to use the butterfly peas toner:
Always clean your skin first. After cleaning is when a toner should be used. You can spray this toner (or any toner) in a cotton round for greater exfoliation and cleaning or simple spritz in your skin. After tone, use a serum and then to the face oil.
All my home has been reporting and invested on the color of this toner and thinking that I am saying butterfly urine instead of a pea. Quite funny honestly. Butterflies are such magical creatures that perhaps their urine is this beautiful tone.
Two questions have tried the butterfly pea tea and can you think of more creative diys that we could use this beautiful flower? I will experiment to see how oils do very soon!
