Our Coastal Cottage Living Room Makeover

Today I am excited to share the new additions to our living room of the coastal cabin!

When we moved to this house four years ago, I was already furnished, which made us very easy to reduce the size here comfortably and save furniture decisions for a future time.

It is such a small room (but important!), We didn’t want to hurry to fill it.

Little by little, season by season, we used pieces that we had to make it cozy and comfortable while making some changes in the rooms of the room (including the new floor) and the connected spaces (during the renewal of the kitchen!).

This year, we finally arrived at a highly anticipated chapter: update our furniture (we chose these beautiful pieces of Ceramic barn and Williams-areoma. You will see sources linked throughout this publication and a list of origin at the end!

It is not the first time that he invests in pieces of the Williams-Somoma Family (including Ceramic barn), And it will not be our last!

In fact, we have had three sofas of the favorite living room over the years, at the height of several different houses, and each one has been of their collections. (The Yorkhe Brooklyn leatherand another PB sofa that I bought secondly similar to The Buchanan).

They have proven to be timeless in lasting style and quality, and have aged wonderfully during daily life and many movements.

The other sofas were transmitted to our family when we reduced, including the One of the Slipbovered We gave my daughter and leather Now in the little cabin for my mother!

So it was not a surprise for us that when it was time to refresh this space, we returned to what we know and love: first the Williams-Sonoma Home Loveseatand now Ceramic barn chairs and Ottoman (two of these In Blue Classic Stripe and This In Chambray Performance Brushing of Brezado Fabric)!

This room is a small transfer space used similarly to what is called a maintenance room! Hidden next to the chimney near the kitchen and the meal corner, it is the type of comfortable place in which it meets to talk before or after dinner, curl up with the fire, have coffee in the morning or get lost in a good book.

He had specific needs when choosing these pieces, nothing too large, but still cozy and cozy.

We also wanted non -toxic fabrics and furniture that could face pets, babies and everyday life.

After a lot of thought and research, I landed in a beautiful striped cloth for our Dear Loveseat and a lovely pair of printed wing chairs From Pottery Barn.

Its classic form adds some drama and height without occupying too much space: in addition, I have always loved how wing makes you feel hidden, almost capable. They are perfect for our needs in this space.

Years ago, I had a similar pair of eaves and Ottomans that I sold in a movement and I have regretted it since then. These feel like a long -awaited return home!

Although we started again with furniture, I still wanted the room to feel classic and collection.

I intentionally chosen timeless pieces in coordination fabrics (not matching), with lovely patterns instead of all solids.

Coastal coastal style the inspired room

A cozy mix of textures and tones, several versatile Ottomans (perfect for supporting the feet and additional points flexible to perch anywhere in the room) plus a durable wool carpet that motivates the room with a soft pattern, everything joined to create a space that feels warm, personal and very habitable!

I mixed some new Pottery Barn accessories with treasures that we have collected: an ancient bamboo car of my mother, a marble vintage washstand (a favorite finding of the Facebook market) and an art that has a story to tell.

I am delighted that we finally have these beautiful new furniture here! He feels so cozy and cozy for our family.

We love that this room has gathered per piece!

My favorite rooms always evolve over time, so, of course, we will still make small adjustments and seasonal changes.

I think a true sanctuary is never over. It should be a reflection of the people who live there, so this room will tell the current history of our lives.

I am excited by all the ways in which we can continue doing this space and at our home (and I already have some more updates to share with you!).

I will share more about our furniture and accessories options and soon (always evolving!) Speak! I am very grateful Ceramic barn To associate with me, give away some favorite pieces and accessories!
