There’s a Tea app for men, and it also has security problems

Tea is invoiced as an application of women’s security appointments, allowing users to anonymously share details about the men they have met. A new application called Teaonher has emerged that tries to turn the script, with men who share information about women who come out. And although TEA gave the scrutiny last month after the revealed information of the user, including the potential identification of details, such as telephone numbers and personal anecdotes, the Copycat application seems to be suffering the same problem.

He discovered several security problems in Teaonher, which is currently the second most popular lifestyle application in iOS. (Tea is the current leader despite the problems). The publication reported that it identified a security failure that allowed anyone to access Teaonher user data, including user names, email addresses, loaded driver’s licenses and selfies. He also found a possible second problem in which the email address and the text password without format for Xavier Lampkin, founder and CEO of the application developer, were exposed. These credentials seem to offer access to the Teaonher administration panel, which is another safety risk.

The full report in It also raises concerns about the content shared in the application, which included spam publications with naked women of women. It is not clear how many of the approximately 53,000 users for Teaonher could be bots, or if the application was once destined to be used seriously; The pieces of their description in the iOS store use a language almost identical to the tea list.
